Every day I try to be positive. I truly believe that positive thinking will not make obstacles go away, but having a smile on my face and hope in my heart will help me get through tough times. I have to believe that there is always going to be someone who is better off and someone who is worse off than me. I will always be thankful that my family is healthy and that we have food on the table.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what life is all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!
I try to make people smile. I believe that everyone appreciates a kind word or deed. This story is about a very close friend of my family. She and her husband were stopped at a red light and a man pulled up next to them. He motioned for her to roll down her window. He asked her if she had been a teacher many years ago. She said yes, about 35 years ago. He introduced himself and said "you were the best teacher I ever had, you changed my life and I am grateful". I know that it made much more than just her day. It still gets me all choked up when I think about it.
It is not always easy to stay positive. It is not always easy to make someone smile. I do believe that it is the little things in life that help us to get inspired!

I have a soft spot for stories about teachers. My fiance is one and I know what an influence they can be. I hope he gets to hear that from his students one day.
